  • Recycling batteries and vapes helps reduce pollution and conserve natural resources. These devices contain harmful chemicals and heavy metals like cadmium, lead, mercury, and silver that can leach into soil and groundwater if disposed of improperly. By recycling, we prevent these toxins from contaminating the environment and harming wildlife.

  • Reusable vapes have a refillable liquid canister which should be removed before they are put in either our Batteries & Vapes box or tube. Lithium and lead batteries should have their contact points taped up with electrical tape.

  • When batteries and vapes are placed in normal recycling or waste bins, they pose a serious safety risk. If punctured or crushed in our vehicles or at our facility, batteries and vapes cause fires. Also, the environmental impacts of disposal vapes and batteries should be considered. Proper electrical recycling processes should be in place for the benefit of our planet.

  • Yes, it is your company’s legal responsibility to segregate and dispose of batteries and vapes compliantly. If not followed and disposed of properly, you will be in breach of your Duty of Care obligations and be liable for any damage to our facility or vehicles as a result of this.

  • Once used, place them in your Batteries & Vapes Box, ready for collection. They should be stored somewhere cool and dry, in an area where they aren’t mistakenly placed in waste and recycling bins.
