What happens to your textiles and clothing?

We collect your textiles from your workplace and transfers it to our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Purfleet, Essex.

From there, they are transported to our UK-based charity partner, Traid. Traid resell your clothes within their network of charity shops, where they find a second life.

Where clothing cannot be resold, they are repurposed into cleaning and upholstery materials.

Textiles and clothing recycling questions answered

  • From leftover suits in the office to old upholstery, we collect your used textiles and clothing and sort them at our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). They are then redistributed by our partner Traid amongst their network of charity shops, where they are resold to find a second life.

  • We have a secure uniform recycling service, which protects your data whilst recycling your workwear.

  • We recycle branded workwear and uniforms as a separate waste stream, to ensure they are recycled securely. Contact our Helpdesk for more information.

  • Clothing that is not suitable to be resold are shredded and repurposed into cleaning materials.

  • Recorra takes your used textiles to our charity partner Traid. Traid resells donated secondhand clothing to raise money for its charity partners, supporting projects improving the fashion industry across its supply chains.
