General waste is any waste material that cannot be recycled. From contaminated packaging to non-recyclable plastics, we ensure that your general waste is handled responsibly. We transport your waste to an Energy from Waste (EfW) facility, where it is converted into energy and used on the National Grid.
This process not only reduces landfill usage but contributes to a sustainable energy production, helping power homes and businesses across the country.

100% of general waste collected is sent to an energy recovery facility where it is incinerated to generate electricity for the National Grid.
From March 2025, businesses with over 10 employees will be required to recycle food waste separately.
When batteries and vapes are placed in normal recycling or waste bins, they pose a serious safety risk. If punctured or crushed in our vehicles or at our facility, batteries and vapes cause fires. Also, the environmental impacts of disposal vapes and batteries should be considered. Proper electrical recycling processes should be in place for the benefit of our planet.
