Circular Box

Hard-to-recycle items such as snack wrappers and coffee pods are commonplace in many people’s workplaces. Normally these items would be classed as general waste and incinerated for energy. But we’re fighting back! Our Circular Box was created to capture these niche items and send them for recycling, right here in the UK. We send these items to be turned into Stormboard™, which can be used to make furniture such as chairs, bins and even Christmas trees. You can even purchase these items from our office supplies team!

Circular Box questions answered

  • The Recorra Circular Box was designed to capture hard-to-recycle items such as office stationery. Once collected, we send them for recycling.

  • Flexible plastics are hard to recycle as they are made out of mixed plastic materials, making them difficult and costly to separate. They also often contain additives that can contaminate the recycling stream, making it hard to produce high-quality recycled material.

  • Because of the unique chemical make-up of flexible plastics, they are classed as a contaminant. This is because they need specialised recycling, and therefore must be collected separately

  • Flexible plastics make up a significant portion of plastic waste, and when improperly disposed of contribute to pollution and harm to wildlife. Recycling them keeps a large amount of plastic within the production cycle.
