Our Client’s Challenge

Before we partnered with Rosewood, multiple waste management companies serviced the hotel. This would cause issues with coordination, communications, and the accuracy of waste reporting. Rosewood’s main goals were improving sustainability, increasing staff knowledge, winning sustainability awards, and improving recycling rates, which averaged around 40%.

Recorra Maintenance

Our Solution

  • We became the sole waste management provider, improving site efficiency and reporting.
  • We hosted Lunch & Learn sessions focused on waste segregation, increasing the number of materials that enter mixed recycling rather than general waste.
  • The training videos we provided Rosewood on effective waste management have become part of mandatory staff training.
  • Through our Circular Box service we started recycling their used corks.
  • Waste composition analyses were carried out on site to understand the full makeup of Rosewood’s waste production providing them with areas for improvement.
  • We provided an innovative recycling solution for Rosewood workwear which turned their uniforms into high-end fashion garments.
