On Monday two of our team went to the Sustainable Restaurant Awards at Roast in Borough Market. The awards celebrate sustainable achievements in the hospitality sector across a variety of categories. This year Paper Round sponsored the London Sustainable Restaurant of the Year award; we have been sponsoring the awards since they began three years ago and each year we have witnessed them go from strength to strength, so we’re proud to say we’ve been there from the beginning.
The SRA help restaurants source their food sustainably as well as managing their resources and working closely with their local communities. Paper Round are a fully accredited supplier of the SRA which means that restaurants who choose to recycle with us know they are taking the sustainable choice with their waste.

Pictured here you can see us with Raymond Blanc, the President of the SRA, and the winner Bruno Loubet of the Grain Store who won the London Sustainable restaurant of the Year award. Congratulations to Grain Store – the award is a truly fantastic achievement. The restaurant is based in Kings Cross and they offer a range of dishes from around the world and the interior is inspired by the idea of an “exploded kitchen” blurring the lines between the kitchen and the dining room.
