REM have exceeded standards, achieving environmental excellence for their properties Park House and 48 Pall Mall.
This award is the result of impactful collaboration between REM, our service partner Principle Cleaning Services and ourselves. Working alongside each other, we are proud to promote sustainable waste management solutions and push environmental innovation. This resulted in recycling rates of 82% and 71% in Park House and Pall Mall respectively.

The project at Park House and Pall Mall involved implementing a comprehensive plan to both increase the building’s overall recycling rate and decrease the total waste produced on-site.
Recorra worked with the Facilities Management team and Principle Cleaning to devise a strategy that would address these goals effectively. We created a tailor-made plan specifically targeting the plastics and cardboard waste commonly generated by retailers in the building.
This included introducing cardboard balers and bin presses on-site, improving internal bin infrastructure to encourage positive behaviour change and streamlining collections to minimise collections and transport associated emissions.
We also made training videos for staff in three languages to properly educate everyone on waste and recycling best practice. This comprehensive training helps staff recycle correctly, reducing contamination and increasing efficiency
