Paper Round starts recycling with Heart of London

Monday 25th September 2017

Paper Round launched their partnership with Heart of London during Recycle Week 2017.

Exceptional cost savings and improved air quality were the winning factors in our proposal, which offers an array of benefits to businesses in Piccadilly, St. James and Leicester Square.

Paper Round will be working closely with Heart of London to consolidate waste collections. Around 40 waste collectors currently visit their patch but with the new scheme this aims to reduce suppliers to 2! Furthermore, recycling will be collected more efficiently by developing local consolidation centres.

Bill Swan, Managing Director of Paper Round, the first waste management company to be accredited as a Living Wage Employer, said

“Electric vehicles, hand deliveries and waste consolidation centres are just some of the innovative approaches we will use to help improve air quality for Heart of London.”

Ros Morgan, Chief Executive at Heart of London, said

“Recycle Week 2017 is the perfect time to announce to our members that they will benefit from a dedicated waste and recycling service. The initiative illustrates how procurement on behalf of all of our members leads to a range of positive developments, from the significant cost savings to playing our part in improving air quality and reducing the volume of traffic in the area.”
