Friday 9th February 2018
In January, on a stormy Brighton evening, Recorra held its very first Annual Customer Event by the Sea. There were environmental achievement awards, recycling competitions, charity donations and lovely prizes to be won. With a healthy supply of live music, food, drink and some keen networking, our customers made it a lively and warm occasion. Many thanks to Hotel Du Vin for supplying such a wonderful venue and staff.
The focus of the event was to highlight the importance of our customers to us, and to thank them for challenging us to continually improve. They’re a demanding bunch, but we thank them for it!
As well as a good excuse for a bit of a knees up, we also used the event to introduce some recent developments, like coffee grounds and coffee cup recycling and highlighted some other services we provide, like confidential paper, IT and WEEE recycling and of course our closed-loop office supplies.

In keeping with Recorra’s charitable origins we donated to some of our nominated charities with funds generated by our collections and on our customers behalf. A big thank you to Fare Share, Sea Life Trust and The Conservation Volunteers for coming along to enjoy the fun.

The undoubted highlight of the evening for us was in seeing the pure joy from competition winners Leo Learning, who had the envious pleasure in receiving the most coveted prize of the evening, a generous chocolate hamper supplied by our long standing customers Choccywoccydoodah!

Basically, we can’t wait to do it all over again next January, and we welcome any customers who want to come along to get in touch and get involved.
Bring on the Spring!
