Thursday 16th September 2021
This year’s Recycle Week is running 20th – 26th September. Our agenda to mark the occasion is truly action packed – so let’s get involved and ‘Step it up’!
What is Recycle Week?
‘Recycle Week is Recycle Now‘s flagship annual event which is a celebration of recycling across the nation. Now in its 18th year, it’s the one week of the year where retailers, brands, waste management companies, trade associations, governments and the media come together to achieve one goal: to galvanise the public into recycling more of the right things, more often.’ WRAP
What is special about this year?
This year the focus is on the climate crisis. Over the last couple of years, the stark warnings have been unavoidable. The IPCC report (read this blog for the main IPCC takeaways) that was published earlier this year cemented climate change fears and facts that no one can dispute or ignore. Recycle Week is calling on all of us to act with small, but influential habits – like recycling. We need to do more. We need to do it now. And we need to do it together. Let’s ‘Step it up’ this #RecycleWeek!

The guaranteed highlight of the week will be our Dont ‘waste’ the net zero opportunity webinar. We will be joined by a guest speaker from Friends of the Earth, who will give you an overview of the climate crisis and the latest IPCC report findings.
