Our waste and resource management initiatives would be no use if we didn’t have clients who can benefit from them. To find out more about the benefits of our actions, Bertie took a trip to the National Theatre to find out what they do and how our work makes it possible.
He started off by having an espresso in the espresso bar. The National Theatre recycle all of their food waste (including coffee grounds!) with Paper Round and we send that off for anaerobic digestion. Anaerobic digestion is the most environmentally friendly option for food waste and the process creates bio fuel and electricity to power local homes.
Following this he decided to take in a play or two before heading down to enjoy the view of
the river. Whilst he was padding around he noticed that they have public facing recycling systems in place throughout the premises. Our waste and resource management systems have resulted in staff being thoroughly trained and briefed in how to use their scheme and regular meetings with their dedicated Account Manager means their scheme remains as good as it can possibly be. He was really pleased when he found out that their recycling rates have gone from 35% – over 70% since Paper Round took on the contract.
